Codfish (recipe with video)

Ingredients:

  • 250 g cod fish filet
  • sea salt
  • one sping of fresh thyme and rosmary each
  • 200 ml corn oil
  • 200 ml native olive oil
  • 1 garlic glove
  • freshly ground pepper

Preparation:

  1. Season the cod filet evenly with salt and let it rest for 3 hours in the fridge, covered with plastic film.
  2. Mix the corn oil with the olive oil and heat up the pan to 60°C/140°F. Add the garlic, thyme and rosmary and put the cod filet in the pan, let it steep for 10 minutes. (They oil should cover the fish completely, if needed add the same amounts of olive- and corn oil.)
  3. Take out the cooked cod fish, allow the excess oil to drip off and serve on a table with salad or favourite vegetables.
